Influenced by the casual complexities of a “colmena” or beehive, my interdisciplinary practice emphasizes the components of a whole to elaborate on community as a site of self-development and liberation, embracing collective power that centers curiosity, vulnerability, and transformation to cultivate a collective consciousness through creative engagement. Inspired by colleagues, collaborators, and communities who move across disciplines, COLMENO operates through unrestricted making, collective dialogue, and intentional exchange to cultivate projects that contribute to evolving networks rather than independent outcomes.
